I believe coaching is just a load of waffle and a waste of time

So you may think that coaching is just a
load of waffle and a complete waste
of your time.
And you know what? You're absolutely right.
For you, coaching is just a
load of waffle and a complete waste of time
because if you believe that to be true
if that's where your coming from
where someone is, perhaps at work,
you've been given a coach to work with.
If that's what you believe to be true
then, of course, that's what's going
to become true for you.
You're not going to take it seriously.
You're going to just treat it like
a load of waffle
You're going to be picking holes in
whatever the coach says to you,
however they are trying to help you and
a load of waffle and a waste of time for you.
Now, a really good coach, over time
will convince you otherwise
but the point is, with a belief that you
hold to be true about something
tends to be reinforcing.
With a strong belief about anything
you'll only look for evidence that proves
your belief is true so therefore you'll
only look for evidence to proof to
yourself that coaching is a load of
waffle and a waste of time.
But you've got to ask yourself
it's interesting that a lot of top
people in their field have a lot of coaches.
What is it that they are seeing differently
about what they are doing?
Why is it that Tiger Woods has 4 or 5 coaches?
A mental coach, a swing coach, a putting coach
and so on. What value are they placing on
coaching? Because they obviously believe
something different and they're obviously
getting results from coaching.
So, the important point here is that you'll
get from coaching exactly what you
think you'll get.
What you believe to be true, that's what
you'll look for and you'll make that
belief come true from your own experience.
So if you think coaching is a waste of time
yep, it is. You're right.
